26/27 weeks!

How far along? I am 27 weeks!! UNREAL! One more week left of the 2nd trimester!

Elsie's 26 weeks update can be found here!!
27 week can be found HERE!

Maternity clothes: Mainly just maternity bottoms, not so much shirts as regularly!

Stretch marks? Nothin!

Sleep: Sleeping pretty well other than my weird freakin' dreams!!! I had a dream last night that it was standard procedure for babies to get their feet removed! It was so freaky!

Best moment this week: Well I passed my glucose test so that was good! And had my first Mother's day! I got a super sweet necklace from Josh! Other than that, the weather has been kinda icky, so there hasn't been much opportunity to do a whole lot.

Miss anything?: Nope!

Movement:  Oh yeah!! Intense!

Food cravings: Random things. Meat, ice cream, salad. All mixed together in a bowl....haha ew jk.

Anything making you queasy or sick?  Feelin' like a champ!!

Gender: Lady bird

Labor signs: Nope! Braxton hicks though!

Symptoms: Indigestion, feeling pretty tired lately too

Belly button in or out? It's kinda just level with my stomach at this point lol.

Happy or moody most of the time? unpacking is more or less complete, we're getting all settled in and I am SOOO happy! We're cozy and are loving our new space!

Looking forward to: My birthday I guess...lol

15 weeks with baby #2

How far along? 15 weeks!
If you'd like to read about my 15th week with Elsie, you can find it here

Maternity clothes: Still the same ol routine, luckily my work wardrobe consists of yoga pants and sweatshirts ;) Can't wait until the dress code changes to sun dresses and swimsuits!!! I don't feel like i'm showing as fast as I assumed I would this time around!

Stretch marks?  None to report!

Sleep: Sleep isn't an issue here!

Best moment this week: Well my baby turned 6 months old, so that was pretty exciting! My little lovey sure is growing up fast!!
Miss anything?:  Not having to walk on eggshells to disturb my stupid head. UGH.

Movement:  Still feel the little bubbly flutters here and there.

Food cravings:  hmmm....
Mexican food, white castle, and charleys subs. It wasn't a very healthy week lol

Anything making you queasy or sick?  I had a really rough week in terms of nausea. Felt like I was back to square one with feeling sick every morning and even sometimes all the way through the day. So over it!!!

Gender: Not sure still! Still totally gettin the girl vibe!

Labor signs: No!

Symptoms: Still being utterly tortured with migraines. My doctor finally gave me a prescription of Fioricet, so i'm PRAYING that will work. I'm reaching my wits end, literally the only thing that I can do to NOT get a headache is to lay completely still in bed all day. (HAHA) I can't pinpoint any specific thing that triggers them besides literally just living my life. It's HARD!!

Belly button in or out? Still in!

Wedding rings on or off? Off

Happy or moody most of the time?  It's hard to be real happy when I feel so crummy all the time, but i've got a pretty sweet reason to be happy!

Looking forward to:  Finding out what this baby is!

32 weeks!

How far along? 32 weeks!

Maternity clothes: Still the same!

Stretch marks? Still none to report!

Sleep: Still sleeping well! Woo hoo!!

Best moment this week: For sure when I had my surprised ultrasound of course!! Got some AMAZING shots of the little lady's face. I know it won't even compare to when we actually meet her but it's still really cool. It's like we kinda met her already! She's so dang cute and we love her so much! I'll post a couple of my favorites

Miss anything?: Not feeling claustrophobic in my own body!

Movement:  She's moving a TON. Especially at work, it's like non stop! She STILL miraculously stops moving whenever Josh is wanting to feel her, SO bizarre.

Food cravings: I had a sudden hankering for potato salad the other day, but I didn't get any :(

Anything making you queasy or sick?  Nothing!

Gender: Princess

Labor signs: No!

Symptoms: The indigestion is getting HORRIBLE. I literally feel like my stomach is located up in my chest, it just doesn't feel like the food ever gets past my rib cage. So I feel like i'm CONSTANTLY needing to burp. I still have the hiccups basically all day long as well. And i've been feeling more and more just generally uncomfortable. YEE HAW for the final stretch

Belly button in or out? We're about half way out

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? Still mostly happy believe it or not!!

Looking forward to:  We get to go to Michigan this weekend and I basically CANNOT wait. It will be Josh's first trip, I really hope the weather is nice!! :D

30 weeks!!!

How far along? Holy Moly I am 30 weeks pregnant!!!

Maternity clothes: Nothin new

Stretch marks? Still none!

Sleep: Still sleeping well! Back and hips have been aching a little more every day, which is why i'm SO glad I have that body pillow.

Best moment this week: Another pretty standard week. I got my hair done on Tuesday cause Lord knows I needed the boost and it definitely did the trick!!

Miss anything?: Being able to breath!

Movement:  Yes tons! Constant barrel rolls all day long and then she's pretty quiet at night. Let's hope and PRAY she keeps that routine up when she comes ;)

Food cravings: Nothing new honestly. This week it was fruit and salad. I know I know...how lame.

Anything making you queasy or sick?  Nothing!

Gender: Girl!

Labor signs: No!

Symptoms: All my usual things, particularly bad indigestion lately! And shortness of breath

Belly button in or out? Teetering on the edge

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? I've been more emotional lately, been super stressed out feeling. So the tears have been flowing a bit more lately lol.

Looking forward to:  I'm looking forward to actually GETTING the things for her nursery and start putting everything together! I feel like we are WAY behind on everything

28 weeks! HELLO 3rd Trimester!!

How far along? 28 weeks! HOLY crap I am officially in the 3rd trimester. PLEASE be good to me!

Maternity clothes: Samesies

Stretch marks? Pheww still doin well

Sleep: I've been sleeping really well still, not even getting up too much to use the bathroom. The only thing that has changed is that I rarely wake up feeling refreshed anymore,I've been waking up SUPER groggy lately like maybe the sleep isn't as "restful" anymore.

Best moment this week: Well Monday was my Birthday, so that was okay. I took the day off from work and slept in, lounged in bed reading and watching Netflix. It was really quite lovely. Then Josh and I went out for dinner, and went to Hobby lobby and I got all my supplies for my little project i'm working on! Also, it makes me shudder a bit to think THAT'S my idea of a good birthday now. lol. As for the rest of the week, it was pretty slow. Over the weekend, we packed up and went to Rice Lake,WI for Josh's softball tournament. The weather wasn't very ideal, but it's all about the people-so it was a good time nonetheless!  (Even though I had to drink sparkling water all weekend instead of adult beverages.)

Miss anything?: Hmmm... I guess to follow up my last comment, at times I miss not having to be the sober cab. All completely worth it though of course, just if I HAD to pick something. ;)

Movement: Had sort of a scare over the weekend in terms of movement. I just noticed that I BARELY felt her moving, when for awhile there It seemed like she was nonstop movin and shakin. I literally had to sit completely still and then she would fidget or something. And of course I was away from home and couldn't reassure myself with my doppler.(I used it as soon as I got home and her heart was thumpin away as usual) She's still moving around but it sort of seems like i've gone backwards in time back to when I JUST started feeling her. I have a doctor's appointment today, so i'm going to bring it up. I'm hoping she's just a REALLY chill baby.

Food cravings: Nothing really different from the norm. In terms of SPECIFICS though, i've noticed since i've been pregnant i've craved Arby's Beef and Cheddar sandwiches. When before they have never even been a passing thought to me. I wouldn't have thought to order one even if I was AT Arby's, so that's kind of interesting.

Anything making you queasy or sick?  Nothing

Gender: GIRL!

Labor signs: No!

Symptoms: The usual, plus LOTS of round ligament pain. I just sneezed and nearly cried, OUCH! (and made me aware of my ever-weakening bladder heh heh....)

Belly button in or out? Still hanging on!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? I'm HAPPY! The only time I find that my mood gets the best of me is while i'm at work. I get pretty trigger happy in terms of letting things annoy me. But I revert back to bein a happy girl once I'm home.

Looking forward to:  Well summer is already well underway and I feel like i've had little to no "sunny" time spent outside at the lake, etc. So i'm sure hoping there are MANY more ahead before this baby comes!!

27 weeks!

How far along? 27 weeks! (or at least that's what they tell me....)

Maternity clothes: Got a few new ones lately, couple more summer dresses!

Stretch marks? None to report! However, the area right around my belly button has been SO itchy lately so I think that's where i'm stretching the most right now. Hoping it holds up :P

Sleep: I'm sleeping well still. Hips start getting pretty sore if I find myself laying on 1 side for too long. And I either don't get up to use the bathroom at all through the night or it's non stop. Not sure if it depends on her positioning or what, but sorta bizarre.

Best moment this week: We had an ultrasound on Friday! She is looking great! They have her measuring about 2 weeks ahead. Weighing in at a whopping 2lbs 8oz already! Which is just crazy, Chunky girl! So who knows, maybe she'll be an end of August baby!  The lady was able to get a few 3D shots of her face, but she was being kind of stubborn with her arms in the way. She is SO cute, we love her so much and are so excited to meet her. Just unreal that we are able to get an idea of what she looks like! We can see a lot of Josh's features, and a couple of mine. Too much fun!

Miss anything?: Being able to stand for more than a few minutes without my back starting to ache.

Movement: She moves and kicks basically non stop throughout the day while i'm at work and is pretty quiet in the evening (which of course when Josh is attempting to feel her move) Getting stronger and stronger every day that's for sure! I've gotten a few hard jabs right in the ribs. Now I know what women are talking about when they say that doesn't feel the best. haha

Food cravings: Nothing really comes to mind lately. I suppose this week I found myself NEEDING pasta a couple times. Had a brief passing craving for brownies, but I didn't indulge.

Anything making you queasy or sick?  Nothin!

Gender: Girly girl

Labor signs: Nope!

Symptoms: Uff the fatigue is full force this week! I'm okay if i'm keeping busy but as soon as I slow down it's like Zzzzzzzz. Still have the Hiccups, braxton hicks, lower back pain, squished bladder, indigestion.

Belly button in or out? Gettin reeeeal shallow, but not really popping OUT.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? Very happy!

Looking forward to:  Josh has a softball tournament next weekend so i'm REALLY hoping the weather will hold up.

19 weeks! Hello lady!

How far along? 19 weeks

Maternity clothes: Here and there.

Stretch marks? Still hangin in there! Getting on more of a steady routine with applying that oil. I've started mixing a couple pumps of that with some cocoa butter and it is DREAMY

Sleep: Really well actually

Best moment this week: Well we had our OFFICIAL hospital anatomy scan today and it went really really well! I'm wearing the wrong color in my picture because it was signed sealed and delivered- this baby is a GIRL!  I'm so so glad they were able to confirm it without a doubt! So i'll put some pictures at the end that we got!

Miss anything?: Back to missing my headache-less days! :(

Movement: Still nothin, the last couple days there are moments that I feel this really goofy feeling, like sort of a creepy crawly sensation and i'm wondering if maybe that's her doing some somersaults or something!

Food cravings: I've really craved mexican food this week for some reason

Anything making you queasy or sick? Still just when I have a headache.

Gender: GIRL!!!

Labor signs: Nope  (I hate this question)

Symptoms: Headaches!!!! I am quite literally at my wits end with these headaches. It's nearly every day and the majority of those days ends with a full blown debilitating headache that sends me to my bed with an ice pack at like 7. I have tried everything I can possibly think of or research. Caffeine, tylenol, excedrin, ibuprofen (both of those with full permission from my midwife) chiropractor, balms, oils, drinking EXTRA water, getting lots of rest, heat, ice, feet in hot water with icepack on neck. NOTHING is working. Finally at my visit today she prescribed me some T3, which is tylenol with codeine. Obviously won't be a regular regimen but we are just hoping to put a stop to the cycle because sometimes that's all it takes. For any of you that actually READ all my blathering, please say a little prayer for me for some relief. It's really wearing me down. Another weird thing that has been happening since i've been pregnant is how MUCH I hiccup! Seems like every time I move I hiccup. And it's only once or twice (thankfully) but what the heck! haha

Belly button in or out? Still in

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? When i'm not doubled over in pain with a headache, i'm really happy!

Looking forward to: Summer!!!! We are back to winter this week it seems and I am TIRED of it.

Now for some ultrasound pics! We even got some fancy 3D ones! :)

18 weeks!!

How far along? 18 weeks! We'll have this baby in our arms before we know it!

Maternity clothes: We went to a community garage sale this weekend and I got a whole BUNCH of adorable maternity jeans from this lady there. Skinny jeans and capris. In other words maternity jeans that don't LOOK like maternity jeans which is exactly what I want. And the best part? $2 a pair! YES PLEASE!

Stretch marks? Still doing okay! I'm not very good at regularly applying that stretch oil everyday, i'm sure i'll be kicking myself someday because of it.

Sleep: Other than struggling pretty horribly from congestion from this cold still, i'm sleeping really well!

Best moment this week: I had an amazing week! Finding out our baby no longer has to be considered "It" but a SHE was pretty dang surreal. We had fun narrowing down name choices! I had my first midwife appointment on Wednesday and that went really well, I think i'm really going to like them. And then this weekend I went to a big community garage sale for maternity/baby/kids stuff with my awesome sisters and niece. I seriously had the best time finding all kinds of adorable treasures for our little chickadee. She's so loved and blessed already. Check out our insane haul! We didn't spend more than $60 for ALL of it, and there's even things missing from the picture! To say we did good is an understatement. (Now we just have to hope there wasn't little boy parts hiding under that stinkin cord!)

Miss anything?: Nothing at the moment!

Movement: Noo. I just found out I have an Anterior placenta, basically meaning it's on the front. So all her little kicks and jabs are being cushioned from me feeling them, and probably will be for awhile. I'm looking forward to it, but I can be patient in that sense. She'll be giving me hell soon enough haha. The only thing I have noticed more lately is just the heaviness of having her in there. Mostly when i'm laying on my side or something. So bizarre.

Food cravings: The only thing I really crave regularly is fruit! Which i'm THANKFUL for! At least it's not donuts or candy or something that's going to make me gain 50 lbs.

Anything making you queasy or sick? The only time I feel queasy now is when I have a bad headache. Which does happen still occasionally. My midwife told me that I AM allowed to take the things that helped me pre pregnancy. (excedrin, ibuprofen, etc) My baby will NOT spontaneously combust if I use something besides Tylenol. Moderation is key obviously, and as long as I'm not using them through my 3rd tri up to the day I deliver it will be FINE. That was a relief because at least I know I can maybe start to get a handle on these damn things.

Gender: GIRL!! Hoping they will be able to absolutely without a doubt confirm that at our official anatomy scan, which is NOW April 14!

Labor signs: Nope

Symptoms: headaches STILL, and really wicked round ligament pain which has been extra prominent with all the sneezing and coughing i've been doing lately. yeeeouch!

Belly button in or out? Still in

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? HAPPY!!!

Looking forward to: our LAST (for now anyways) hospital ultrasound on April 14th! (Unless we decide to do one of the crazy 4D ones...which let's face it we probably will)

15 weeks!

How far along? 15 weeks! Just truckin' along!

Maternity clothes: Still not wearing any yet. I have a few pairs of pants that are just laughable at even the thought of trying to squeeze into them. But I have a lot of jeans with a good amount of stretch in them. So i'm good still.

Stretch marks? No sign of 'em yet! But I have noticed a lot more itchiness so I'm definitely stretchin! I've been enjoying that oil that I ordered. It has a nice light smell and even though it is an actual OIL and goes on much like a tanning oil-it doesn't feel OVERLY oily. Which I like! It absorbs into your skin really quick and you don't feel like you've been at the beach all day and need a shower. And it washes off your hands easily too. So far so good!

Sleep: Sleeping really well lately! Well..besides the OUTRAGEOUS dreams I've been having. Honorable mention (in condensed version because it went on FOREVER): Josh and I got a large pet snake and we decided to play the snake charmer song for it. Which then caused the snake to go berserk and proceed to push one of my nephews down the stairs on a chair. I was then terrified of the snake and tried to get Josh to give it away but he wouldn't because he had grown too attached. (Which is REALLY bizarre because Josh HATES snakes-not this one I guess) The only other parts I remember were me letting it out to go to the bathroom and it coming up to me and rubbing its head on me to get pet like a cat. SO SO weird.

Best moment this week: I had a routine OB appt this week and everything seems to be going very well. We listened to the heartbeat which is in the 150's, and she told me she has seen no significant truth to the wives tale about the heart rate, so I guess I won't take that one TOO seriously. And then we discussed our next ultrasound which will most likely be the last one we have and the one that we'd find out the sex of the baby. They typically do that one around 20 weeks. I hesitantly asked my doc if there was ANY way we could have it done during my 18th week because Josh will be out of town for work during my 19th and 20th week. I was expecting her to say no, that she'd prefer that I wait, but to my surprise she said that would be NO problem- that's something we should definitely be together for! I was SO happy and excited. I LOVE my doctor!

Miss anything?:  I still miss not getting these recurring headaches, but otherwise nothin!

Movement: Not yet!! Can't wait for that.

Food cravings: The only thing I can think of that i've pinpointed specifically that I want lately has been Granny smith apples. Love love love.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Still morning mouth and brushing my teeth. The only other time I feel sick is when I have a bad headache.

Gender: We will find out April 7th!!! The countdown begins! Literally.....21 days, 20 hours 18 minutes. ;)

Labor signs: No thank God.

Symptoms: Still getting the headaches and the occasional floods of nausea. Otherwise I'm feeling really good!

Belly button in or out? Still in

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? Most of the time i've been happy!

Looking forward to: Our ULTRASOUND!!! Cannot.WAIT!!! Now we just have to pray that the little peanut will let us see the goods!! :)

14 weeks! HELLO 2nd trimester!

How far along? 14 weeks!! (OFFICIALLY, INDISPUTABLY IN THE 2nd TRIMESTER!!)

Maternity clothes: Still not yet, I wore a maternity shirt the other day. But before I got pregnant I bought some jeans at a thrift store that were just a LITTLE bit too big so that might be why I'm not needing the pants yet.

Stretch marks? None still. I ordered some Earth Mama Angel Baby Natural Stretch Oil last night. I'm all about reading reviews on things, and this one got mostly all positive reviews. We shall see how it works for me!

Sleep: Sleeping alright. I've started having the really weird dreams. Also, I ALWAYS wake up and i'm sleeping on my back. I know it probably isn't SUCH a big deal in this early stage, but I have to train myself somehow to not do that. It's hard because that's one of my favorite sleeping positions.

Best moment this week: Well it started out pretty lame, I had jury duty. But I guess in hindsight it wasn't SO bad, I only had to go 2 days, and at least I know i'm guaranteed exemption for 4 years. Then we got our very reassuring NT screening results (if you missed it, I posted about it here.) And I had a very good weekend! Saturday was allegedly "International Women's Day" and Josh really allowed me to soak that up for all it was worth. He took me on a shopping trip to Hobby Lobby (which by the way was AWESOME) and then got my car all washed and detailed.

Miss anything?:  I miss not getting headaches damn near every day, AND being able to take something that is actually effective for them.

Movement: Nope, but I have been able to HEAR movement on occasion with my doppler which is pretty dang cool!

Food cravings: I recently got these little instant mashed potato cups that come in all kinds of flavors like loaded baked potato, 4 cheese, etc. And they are SO good. I sprinkle a little shredded cheese and sometimes a little hot sauce on them and it is like my new favorite snack. I ate all the ones we bought so I find myself craving those. Other than that, no notable cravings besides just food in general still. I feel like a ravenous beast.

Anything making you queasy or sick? This is going to sound really gross potentially but "morning mouth" makes me gag and sometimes even heave a little EVERY morning lately. And it's not like I have wretched morning breath or anything, it's just that dry mouth, congested throat feeling that literally makes me gag. Okay that's far enough of that.

Gender: Still no clue! My gut is still totally screaming "boy" though. I'm hoping that since Josh has to go out of town around my 19th/20th week that my doctor will let us have the anatomy scan near the end of my 18th week. And if that's the case, only 1 month until we find out what we're having!! CRAZY!

Labor signs: Uh no

Symptoms: I think i'm finally starting to perk up. Don't feel SO exhausted all the time anymore (still plenty tired though) My only real negative symptom as of late are these headaches. I've been drinking water basically all day ever day, and i've tried basically all the tricks in the book. But to no avail! If anyone has any surefire tricks that I may not have tried, PLEASE send them my way. I ordered something strange called Zandu balm (which also got good reviews) It will probably make me grow hair on my chin or something, but i'm willing to try anything at this point.

Belly button in or out? Still in

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? Half and half i'd say. I've just noticed that annoyed tinge in the back of my neck on occasion the last couple days. (does that even makes sense???)

Looking forward to: My next routine OB appt will be sometime this week so I suppose that's something to look forward to. Still lookin forward to that spring fever too of course!!
